Local business people from right across the Bay of Colwyn have come out in force to support a charitable group supporting isolation and mental health.

Thanks to the generosity of shops, organisations and workers behind the scenes, the Colwyn Chamber of Trade and the Colwyn Business Zone have collected over 30 rucksacks filled with essential supplies for vulnerable people in our area.

The rucksacks filled with food, bedding and other essential items have been handed over the the Kind Bay Initiative to ensure they find people in need this Christmas time.

Mark Clemson from the Colwyn Business Zone said how excited his was to be collecting the rucksacks and how amazed he was the response.

"This is the third project that has been delivered over the past few months, Operation Rucksack, Operation Sparkle and Talk Benches. What great support from the local business community."

The Kind Bay initiative is a not-for-profit community group based in the town. They support many vulnerable people suffering a range of issues and their aim is to help people at their weekly get togethers providing food, clothes, entertainment and a listening ear.
