The Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza has been cancelled this year, with organisers blaming a significant number of stallholder cancellations and unpaid fees.
The not-for-profit organisation behind the event says a number of traders have withdrawn in recent weeks, while payments from some confirmed stallholders remain outstanding.
Organisers say that has left them unable to cover the substantial costs involved in putting on the event, including infrastructure, entertainment, security, licensing and other operational costs.
They say they had hoped to continue with the Christmas event, but have now concluded that it would not be financially viable to do so.
The organisers have apologised to stallholders and visitors who were looking forward to the event, and thanked those traders who had committed to taking part and paid their fees.
Any stallholder who has already made a payment will receive a full refund.
The cancellation only affects this year’s Christmas event. The annual Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is still due to take place from May 1st to 3rd, 2027.
