Colwyn Bay FC have announced today they have agreed terms with 28-year-old defender Sam Hart from Airbus UK Broughton.
Chester-born Sam progressed through the youth ranks at Preston North End, signing a pro contract in May 2010, and he represented Wales at schoolboy level in the Victory Shield and also at Under-17 and Under-19 level in the European Championships.
He first joined Airbus in 2012 and went on to have spells at Bangor City and then Llandudno, completing 137 WPL appearances and scoring 21 goals, before a brief spell at Flint Town United prior to returning to Airbus in January 2019.
Bay boss Craig Hogg commented: "I am very happy we've agreed terms with Sam and bring him to the football club. Sam is a player I have worked before and I know what he can bring to the group here."
"He comes to the club with a great deal of experience and much success within the domestic game in Wales and I'm confident he will add to what we feel is a very strong set of players at the Bay.
"With the new additions of Lewis Sirrell, Kieran Nolan and now Sam Hart, we have some really healthy competition for places within the squad and in every single position - and that is very pleasing."
Sam Hart added: "I have worked with the manager before and I know exactly what he will expect from me and the team. He also knows exactly what he will get back in return, which is hard work, passion and a will to win.
"I have a lot of experience in the Welsh system which I hope can help us kick on next season and achieve our target of promotion.
"It will be good to be playing alongside a few of the lads I have worked with before, and I am really looking forward to meeting up with them again as well as the other lads."
