Drivers in the Bay can now reach for their mobile or smart watch to pay for parking on the prom or in the town.
Conwy County Borough Council has partnered with PayByPhone, the global leader in mobile parking payments, to offer drivers the option of cashless parking.
From here on in, residents and visitors in Conwy county can pay for parking safely and securely using their mobile devices.
The cashless alternative when paying to park is convenient, as people don’t need to carry cash. It also helps residents, visitors, local business people and Council employees, as they don’t have to handle coins or touch payment machines.
Drivers can pay for their parking using the PayByPhone app, which is quick and easy to download, or by calling the PayByPhone automated payment service line, on the telephone number displayed on car parks signs and on street signage.
PayByPhone’s Extend-From-Anywhere feature allows users to extend their parking sessions at long stay car parks remotely. This means drivers don’t have to worry about running back to their cars or risking parking fines.
This feature is now also available to users with an Apple Watch using watchOS 4, allowing parking to be extended directly from their watch. PayByPhone users can also pay to receive a text message that reminds them before their parking session expires.
To make parking even more hassle-free, PayByPhone’s Maps feature allows drivers to locate parking before they leave for their destination and pin their vehicle location onto the map once they have parked. The Nearby Parking feature instantly provides drivers with the closest PayByPhone parking location number once parked.
The PayByPhone app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store and more information is available at https://park.paybyphone.com/conwy_en/
PayByPhone is also available to use for parking in Denbighshire, Gwynedd and the Isle of Anglesey.
