Pupils at Ysgol Bryn Elian are set to return to lessons as normal on Wednesday after a major water leak forced the school to close for a day.
The Colwyn Bay secondary school announced on Monday evening that it would be unable to open on Tuesday after the leak left the site without hot water and caused a power outage in parts of the school.
In a message to parents and carers, the school said there was no electricity in the F and G blocks and that the disruption meant normal lessons could not take place.
However, pupils sitting examinations were still required to attend, with exams going ahead as planned. An athletics trip to Treborth also continued, while other learners were provided with work through Satchel One and Microsoft Teams.
The school thanked families for their understanding as staff worked to deal with the situation.
By this afternoon, the school confirmed the issue had been resolved and that it would reopen fully the following day.
In an update on social media, headteacher Mrs Hasting said: “Thanks to the hard work of staff, especially the site team, the school will be open as normal tomorrow (Wednesday 17th June).
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back in.”
The school has not released further details about the cause of the leak, but praised staff for their efforts in restoring normal operations within 24 hours.
All pupils are expected to return to school as usual on Wednesday.
