The body of a woman has been discovered in the water near the west side of the Great Orme in Llandudno.

North Wales Police confirmed the discovery was made on Wednesday, August 26.

The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are currently being investigated and the coroner has been informed.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that sadly, the body of woman was discovered in the water near to the west side of the Great Orme on Wednesday, August 26.

“The coroner has been informed, and we continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

“Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family at this time.”

Police have not released the woman's identity or any further details about the circumstances of her death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
