Calls to the emergency services including the North Wales Coastguard have kept teams extremely busy over this August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Llandudno Coastal Rescue Team (CRT) were called on Saturday evening to reports of several people cut off on the West Shore sandbanks.
A spokesperson explained: "On arrival we observed a number of people on a rapidly disappearing sandbank near the Marine Drive toll house.
"A member of the CRT entered the water to try to access the casualties but the speed of the rapidly rising tide prevented him from reaching the casualties. Fortunately Conwy Lifeboat arrived on scene and was able to collect the casualties from the sandbank with moments to spare.
"The casualties were brought ashore and transferred into the care of the CRT. The casualties were checked out for any injuries or medical problems but all were found to be fit and well other than being cold."
The casualties were found to consist of a number of children and two adults who had entered the water to try to help the children.
"On arrival at the incident several more people were preparing to enter the water to assist the children and we had to persuade them to return to shore for their own safety."
The Coastguard has once again reiterated the importance of being aware of tide times and the dangers of tidal changes. If you see anyone in distress or danger around the coast or in the sea please call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
"Please don’t enter the water yourself as you are putting yourself at risk and potentially creating more casualties for the emergency services to deal with."
