Dog owners across North Wales are being encouraged to put their best paw forward this November and take part in a 30-mile walking challenge with their four-legged friends.
Hope House TÅ· Gobaith children's hospices are teaming up with Pet Place for Woof Walk 30, which challenges people and their dogs to walk 30 miles over 30 days.
The challenge is free to enter, and participants will receive a stylish bandana for their dog. Owners are asked to get friends and family to sponsor them, with a £60 fundraising target earning their pooch a special treat from Pet Place. Raise £120 and there’s a prize for the owner too.
Organiser Courtney Harris says Woof Walk 30 is a great way to shake off the winter blues, get outside every day and give dogs plenty of exercise.
Hope House TÅ· Gobaith cares for more than 750 children living with life-threatening conditions, with money raised helping provide nursing care, respite stays and special memories for families.
Pet Place is also backing the challenge and is reminding walkers to stay safe during darker evenings, with reflective leads and clip-on lights recommended.
There are plenty of places to explore, so whether you're going for a gentle stroll or putting the pedal to the metal... well, perhaps the paw-dal to the metal... it's a chance to get moving and raise money for a good cause.
You can sign up for Woof Walk 30 through the Hope House TÅ· Gobaith website.
