Volunteers across Conwy are today continuing their sterling work at helping address the humanitarian crisis in the Ukraine with a series of financial donations and the collection of essential goods for the stricken country.

Our friends at Colwyn Bay FC are co-ordinating some of the local effort and inviting residents to donate supplies if they can afford to so.

"We will be using the clubhouse at Colwyn Bay FC as a drop off centre for aid to be sent to Ukraine.

"If you have any spare clothes, blankets, sleeping bags, sanitary items, nappies, tinned foods and maybe the odd little toy that might cheer up a child who has been thrust into turmoil, we would be very grateful to you."

Please take your donations up to the club at the Four Crosses Arena on Llanellian Road in Colwyn Bay on Monday and Wednesday fom 6-9pm or on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to midday.
