Comedy, music and family shows coming to Rhyl Pavilion

Comedy, live music, magic and family entertainment are all on the programme at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre, with a packed line-up running through to the end of October.

The seafront venue will welcome some familiar names from the comedy circuit, a new musical based on an Oscar Wilde classic, and shows aimed at younger audiences during the half-term period.

First up on Friday, 16 October, is Hometown Glory, a candlelit tribute to Adele featuring singer Natalie Black performing hits including Rolling in the Deep, Hello and Someone Like You.

Liverpool comedian Adam Rowe follows on Saturday, 17 October, with his touring show Fashionism. Rowe, who has appeared on Live at the Apollo, is also known for hosting the Have a Word podcast.

On Tuesday, 20 October, Kevin Kennedy, known for Coronation Street and the stage musicals Rock of Ages and We Will Rock You, stars in a new musical adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray, based on Oscar Wilde’s tale of beauty, youth and the price of trying to preserve them.

Another Liverpool comedian, Paul Smith, brings his show Happy to Rhyl on Friday, 23 October, promising observational humour, true stories and plenty of audience interaction.

Music fans can travel back to the era of two-tone on Sunday, 25 October, with House of Fun, celebrating the music of Madness, The Specials, The Beat and other bands associated with the movement.

Families have two shows to choose from later in the month. Unicorn Live! arrives on Wednesday, 28 October, with a colourful musical adventure featuring characters Harmony, Melody and Starlight. The following evening, illusionist Kayden Black is joined by magician Michael Carr and escapologist Andy Storm for Illusion Impossible, combining magic, mentalism and daring escapes.

The month’s programme concludes on Friday, 30 October, with an Oktoberfest event at the venue’s 1891 Restaurant and Bar, featuring German food, beer and a live oompah band.

Rhyl Pavilion Theatre is managed by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd. The venue says the varied programme is designed to attract audiences from across North Wales and beyond.
